Founded shortly after World War II by Tom Phillips and his brothers, Phillips Distribution, Inc. began with locations in San Antonio and Houston. Under the
stewardship of his nephew, Gil Phillips, the company grew into a four state distributor of paper and food service products to large restaurant chains such as Dairy Queen, Church's Fried Chicken, Taco Cabana, Pappas, Frenchy's, Bill Miller Bar B Que, Fajita Junction, Alfonso's and Chicken Express. In the 1970's and 1980's the company serviced chains with as many as 500 stores in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.

With consolidation in the fast food industry in the fall of 1994, the company expanded its marketing efforts into packaging, sanitary papers, and janitorial supplies, and became a master distributor to grocery stores, food processors, meat packers, and other distributors. |

From its company owned facility at 3000 E.
Houston in San Antonio, consisting of a 140,000 square foot warehouse, truck maintenance
building, and twelve acres of land, a fleet of tractor-trailers are loaded with an average of 500 orders each week, destined for Amarillo, Austin, Beaumont. Corpus Christi, Dallas, El Paso, Ft. Worth, Houston, Laredo, Lubbock, Midland Odessa, Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Waco.
Our twelve salespersons make
personal calls in all of the major cities in the state, and are able to
assist you with packaging design, graphic art design, special products,
and pricing for products manufactured worldwide.
